Enhancing Elementary Playgrounds!

Each year, as part of the Zephyr Gala the MAEF Board partners with Mahtomedi Public Schools to support an innovative district initiative with the potential to Empower Student Experiences.

Creating Fun, Safe, and Inclusive Play Spaces for Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools!

Playgrounds are more than places to play; they’re spaces for adventure, social connection, and healthy physical activity. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised $91,000 at last spring’s Zephyr Gala to enhance the playgrounds at Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools.

These upgraded play spaces are designed with student input to ensure they’re fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate. Beyond play, they promote social interaction, support mental wellness, and encourage emotional well-being, strengthening not only our schools but also the partnerships and trust within our community.
