The Fall Fund Drive is a vital initiative for MAEF. Together with our community, MAEF transforms generosity into opportunities that inspire learning, empower educators, and help every student thrive through exceptional, personalized education.

Here’s how your support is making a difference for Mahtomedi students! 💛💙

• $2,450 for Student & Staff Recognition to celebrate student and staff events, including the Celebration of Excellence, Future Educators Breakfast, staff Welcome Back Breakfast, and a Teacher of the Year grant.

• $7,900 for Student Enrichment to support student clubs and activities, including the Modeling a Protein Story (MAPS) Team, DECA National Conference, and the FIRST Robotics Team.

• $21,000 for the Angel Fund meeting the basic needs of students and families.

• $89,525 for Classroom Grants to provide 24 staff with new tools, technology, and techniques to enhance their teaching and inspire their students, directly impacting the classroom.

• $59,500 for Post-Secondary Scholarships to assist students in pursuing their education and passions after graduation.

• $100,000 in District Initiatives Angel Fund Removing Barriers. Expanding Opportunities. Expanding the Angel Fund to support enrichment opportunities in academics, the arts, athletics, and activities.

Attention, Class of 2027

The Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation (MAEF) provides scholarships to Mahtomedi Public Schools seniors to help them pursue their education and passions. Scholarships are available because of generous donations from individuals and families. 

The application window for post-secondary scholarships will open on December 17, 2026, and close at 11:59 pm on March 21, 2027.

The MAEF Community and Technical Application closes on April 16, 2027.

The Carole Fargo Summer Enrichment Scholarship will offer scholarships to students from Mahtomedi Public Schools (grades Kindergarten through 11) who demonstrate interest and talent in the visual arts. This includes areas such as drawing, design, painting, print media, film/video, website design, sculpture, decorative arts, applied arts, and literature. The scholarships are designed to help students participate in summer camp programs or activities that focus on these creative fields.

Make a $12 donation to MAEF between January 21 and February 2, and we’ll deliver a Hearts of Gratitude to a teacher or special staff member.

All Hearts of Gratitude will be delivered on February 11.
