The Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation (otherwise known as MAEF) exists to foster and support educational excellence in our communities. Since its inception in 1988, our foundation has distributed over $1 million dollars in grants to teachers, student scholarships and technology for schools!
In the last five years alone, we've grown exponentially and have distributed $680,000 to various worthy projects. Our funding priorities for the 2009-2010 school year and beyond are STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and the arts.
